2 types of student groups per lecture:

• Preparation students: Know the date for your own participation as a case preparation group

The group of the week (see weekly schedule below) must:

Example 1 — Inline in your paragraph

International business transactions carry various forms of risk, including political and currency risks. Effective risk management therefore involves contractual clauses such as arbitration and insurance provisions (Schaffer, Agusti, & Dhooge, International Business Law and Its Environment, 11th ed., chap. 1, no. 15).

Example 2 — Integrated into a sentence

As noted by Schaffer, Agusti, and Dhooge (11th ed., chap. 1, no. 27), firms often begin with exporting before moving toward licensing or direct investment, as these methods involve progressively higher levels of commitment and risk.

Participation & Attendance

• Overall attendance was very low; mainly presenting and preparation students attended.
• Attendance fluctuated strongly depending on topic and format.
• Students who attended participated selectively; a small group was consistently active.
• Presentation and preparation students were very well prepared.
• The didactic concept (all students prepare cases weekly) did not work as intended.
• Some students cited high workload; however, the module includes 6 hours of weekly self-study as defined in the module description.

Measure for change:

• Clearer enforcement of weekly preparation requirements for all students.
• Stronger link between preparation and grading.

Preparation & Engagement

• Limited demonstration of understanding through questions, answers, or application.
• Few spontaneous discussions or clarifying questions.

Measure for change:

• More structured opportunities for discussion and application during offline sessions.

Learning Responsibility

• Students rarely used office hours, literature, or learning resources proactively.
• Responsibility for individual learning was often not taken.

• Feedback within groups was constructive.

• Feedback opportunities were offered, but participation was low due to attendance.
